Things we've done so far

I think is my last post, promise. I just wanted to highlight a few things we've done so far here in Springfield.

Top Ten Reasons to Live in Springfield
10 It's not THAT humid. . . honestly!
9 There's trees here, lots of them, and you don't even have to plant most of them!
8 It's green here, because of said trees
7 30 min from Branson
6 They have butter in the longer skinnier cubes, I've always wanted to use that shape of butter.
5 They have local cable free! We get a whopping 5 channels!
4 The Library Center, an awesome county library with lots of fun stuff and a great children's section. Lots of DVD's and VHS to check out, due to lack of said channels!
3 Andy's Frozen Custard Think Sonic on Steroids! YUMMMM!
2 3.27$ Gas! No Joke! (by the way when did that become cheap? for gas? when UT is at 4.05$ yikes)

• We're here, of course!!!

We've also gone to the local pool, drove out to Branson to check on the craft mall situation, visited Chris's school, found a wonderful waffle house (I love breakfast for dinner), spent countless dollars going to Walmart and Home Depot about 20 times each, and phewww, that's our first week in MO. Love you all!

It's funny how when you move you go to walmart and home depot about a million times and it seems like you still need stuff! Give yourself a few weeks and you'll feel more settled. Glad to hear Maci adjusted to school okay.
I am jealous that you have crafty stuff nearby. There is not much out here, but that is good because I won't spend what we don't have!

About everything being green: We've been in a drought since we moved here and everything is still so much greener than it is out west. Kind of cool. Things growing everywhere. You should be able to have a nice garden next year!

I am so glad you guys made it safe and sound! Congrats on 7 years that is awesome! You two are the perfect couple and are truely so good to one another. More milestones, with Maci's first day, I bet she feels so BIG, and I am glad Gavin is holding up, I know Chris was worried about that. I love what you did to the house, it is totally cute, expecially that hist wall that is orange, so cute1 I like that plant thing too, do you sell those? I guess I should check with etsy, I love it! Keep us posted. We miss you already!

It looks like you're loving it so far! Hopefully the excitement of it being new doesn't ever wear off. It took me about 6 months to realize oh, this isn't a vacation, I'm going to be here forever! Shit what was I thinking! LOL!

Looks like Maci is loving school. Brighten is loving it too. Don't you miss her. I'm still moping around counting the minutes until she gets home:(

I have to say it sounds like you're adjusting great! I was terrified to leave my house for weeks 'cause I didn't think I would find my way back home. I had a REALLY hard time for the first 4-5 months or so adjusting to a new life. Now we are so comfortable here we don't want to move back!

Hey Allison! I found you thru Jamie Austin. Welcome to the rest of the world. We live in Louisiana-straight south thru Arkansas. Just drove thru MO on the way to Utah (via Omaha). Good to see you blogging. You'll have to check us out at condiefam.blogspot.com

I have to say that one of my most favorite things about living outside of Utah is the shape of the butter. Am I weird?

Hey Alison, Things are going good. Belle's still loving school. I've got a really bad head cold, but hopefully it will get better soon. I have a red nose from all the blowing of my nose, but oh well, what can you do. I'm glad to hear you're getting all settled, although scrapbooking just won't be the same without you!

Hey Alison & Chris! Jodi tracked you down for me j/k - actually she said she found you through facebook and just called me to tell me she found your blog. I have had a great time 'catching up' reading it! Love your blog design btw. I saw Chris's mom at Alpine Days - you were aparently packing because she had your two adorable kids (who both totally look like Chris - holey cow!). Congrats with the smooth move - and good luck with the new house, and school.

I found you through Katie Despains blog-how fun for me! First off, I had NO idea how 'crafty' you were-sheesh!
Second, does Sarah have a blog, I would love to get in touch with her and see what she's up to.
Congrats on your move, looks like you are adjusting nicely! PS Your kids are adorable
